FAD Market is back on Governors Island for its fourth annual monthly residency, occurring every third weekend from June to October. Taking place along the tree-lined King Ave, nestled between historic early 20th century buildings, this idyllic market setting is steps away from Yankee Pier, where the Brooklyn ferries dock, and Liggett Terrace, where the food trucks rally. Featuring a rotating lineup of over 40 of the city's emerging makers, designers, artists, and small businesses, our markets will feature handcrafted jewelry, art, apparel, bath and body care, tableware, home furnishings, artisanal packaged food, and more.
Come for the one-of-a-kind goods, stay for a cocktail and a game of pétanque (a lawn throwing game similar to bocce and boules) with our neighbors, Carreau Club. Take a short ferry ride and make a day of it!

Governors Island is a 172-acre island in the heart of New York Harbor nestled between Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn waterfront. Bring a picnic and lay a blanket on the grass, sample cuisine from independent food trucks like Makina Cafe, and The Meat Hook, and restaurants like Island Oyster and Pizza Yard, and grab a drink at Threes Brewing. View public art installations and visit the local non-profit art and cultural organizations housed at Nolan Park. You can also rent a bicycle, relax on a hammock, have a spa day at QC NY spa, play at Slide Hill playground, climb The Hills, and tour GrowNYC Teaching Garden. Unlike anywhere else in New York, Governors Island offers sweeping views of the Harbor, Lower Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. It is one of the best places to visit.
FAD Market at Governor’s Island is accessible via ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn. Governors Island Manhattan ferries will run daily from the Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street, New York, NY. Governor’s Island Brooklyn ferries will run Saturdays and Sundays from both Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park and Atlantic Basin in Red Hook. Tickets are available here.
This event is FREE and open to all ages. No pets allowed except for service dogs. RSVP to let us know you’re coming!
